Adam Cramer
Managing Director
Adam is a both a Partner and the Managing Director of Wilson Wright.
In the past decade, Wilson Wright has grown year-on year and evolved. We are now a medium sized firm with international reach.
Today we offer our clients a wide range of highly technical services, including audit, private client and corporate tax, international and UK structuring, transactions, R&D tax credits, dispute resolution and risk services to name but a few.
As Managing Director, Adam overseas the strategic direction of the Firm and collaborates with our Partners, Directors, and wider leadership team to bring about and implement changes.
For his entire career, Adam has been advising and supporting entrepreneurs and business owners to realise their goals and ambitions. He thrives on building lasting relationships, being pro-active, and always acting with honesty and integrity. Stepping up to be Managing Director was a natural progression for him.
Adam works in partnership with clients who are typically embarking on their first start-up, selling a business, or expanding internationally into new territories.
He advises businesses in sectors ranging from professional services to property, international trading, media, tech, and recruitment. He is adept at applying the experience gained in one sector to new markets and evolving industries.
His professional training, in audit and accounting, and his commercial insight, coupled with his years of experience enable him to offer holistic business advice.
Throughout his career Adam has worked with some of the UK’s most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders, acting as a trusted adviser and sounding board.
Adam never loses sight of the fact that there are people behind every successful business and that the business needs to work for them, their circumstances, values, and goals.

Craig Nicholson
Senior Tax Partner
Craig leads the tax practice at Wilson Wright. His knowledge covers all areas of taxation, enabling him to expertly guide clients through highly technical personal, corporate, and international matters with ease, while offering innovative and commercially-sound solutions.
His specific areas of expertise include domestic and international structuring and restructuring for both business and private clients, HMRC dispute resolution, and support to ultra-high-net worth individuals on all aspects of their taxation affairs.
He has a further specialism in mergers and acquisitions, having led the tax aspects of countless transactions at all deal price levels and supporting business owners, CFOs and legal tax partners alike.
Craig is skilled at translating extremely complicated tax legislation into easily understood language, remembers the most obscure legislation and case law, and works with an honesty that both clients and colleagues respect.
Craig is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Association of Tax Technicians.

Warren Baker

Warren joined Wilson Wright in 2001 after qualifying in 1988 with Arthur Andersen in London.
He is actively involved in DFK International, an association of independent accounting firms operating across 90 different countries.
Warren has built relationships with member firms around the world and handles the majority of our international work.
Warren has years of experience working with clients from a wide range of industries from around the world, with particular expertise in media, property, and offshore structuring.
He is an expert on the issues of inward and outward investment and has worked with many firms helping them to set up operations in the UK and abroad.
Warren works closely with entrepreneurs advising them on how to develop and grow their businesses, develop detailed business plans, growth strategies, route maps through to planning exit routes.
Warren is our Corporate Finance Partner and carries out corporate advisory work including due diligence, whitewash reports and forensic work. He advises on acquisitions and disposals for clients, ensuring the process runs smoothly. Several of these assignments have been for quoted companies.
He is a keen golfer, bridge player and oenophile.

Having qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008 and attained his first partnership position in 2010, Lee is now a successful entrepreneur, business leader and financial confidant to the successful.
As a business founder, business owner and entrepreneur himself, he has played crucial roles in the establishment of businesses including, but not limited to; envirotech innovator Polymateria and wealth management firm Mulberry Bow. Lee has a deep understanding of what it takes to ensure a business achieves its full potential owing to his hands-on experience.
As an investor, Lee has more than 10 years’ experience successfully deploying his own money into diverse businesses including financial, medical and environmental technologies.
As a partner in Wilson Wright LLP Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers, Lee plays a crucial role in ensuring that the firm is at the very forefront of the industry as well as delivering significant projects for clients and for the firm itself.
Passionate about giving back to business and the wider community, Lee works with entrepreneurs, business leaders and others to bring ideas to reality and help more established businesses deliver for their stakeholders.
He is also a thought leader, always searching for opportunities to develop businesses which would bring about a step-change in a market or industry. While his current areas of focus are largely in the Technology and Sports sectors, he takes pride in being sector-agnostic, with the ability to apply his skills and experience wherever it adds the most value.
His tenacious, nothing-is-impossible approach to getting things done as well as his holistic commercial awareness and tax knowledge has made him a valuable asset to some of the most successful family offices, where he continues to drive their strategies and projects for both the individual family members and related businesses.

Katherine Rose

Katherine has over 18 years of experience in Audit and Accounting, including three years training at a top 10 firm and more recently four years in the role of Technical Partner.
Katherine combines her technical skills with a strong commitment to providing a high-quality client service to businesses. She specialises in working with international clients entering the UK market, offering guidance on the local regulatory landscape. She strives to become a trusted adviser to her clients, providing support on a range of audit, accounting, and corporate tax matters.
Her clients range from owner managed businesses to international groups across a variety of sectors, with a special interest in technology and property businesses.
She is a member of the ACCA as well as an affiliate of the ACA.

Jamie Grossman

Jamie joined the Wilson Wright audit team after qualifying with Ernst & Young in 2003. He has been a partner since 2008 and currently heads our business services and outsourcing department.
Jamie has a broad experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing, corporation tax and financial management. He has significant experience in property investment and development, sport, leasing, and the arts. Jamie acts for clients ranging from early stage start-ups through to established international groups.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and has an honours degree from the University of Birmingham in accounting and finance.

Nikki joined Wilson Wright as a trainee and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2008, in 2012 she became a Partner.
In her role as joint head of audit she collaborates closely with the team to service the firm’s audit clients.
Nikki works with a broad spectrum of clients, she has a wealth of industry experience in media and entertainment, tech and charitable sectors.
She has a portfolio of internationally owned companies which she works closely with to provide them with the necessary support to operate in the UK with skeleton staff.
Nikki takes immense pride in building lasting relationships with her clients. She takes the time to understand their aspirations and challenges. Nikki is very much a hands-on business adviser, she offers pragmatic advice and focuses on delivery, helping clients to achieve their goals.

Emma Brown
Tax Transactions Partner
Emma leads our transaction tax team. She joined Wilson Wright in 2014 and became a partner in April 2019.
Emma has a depth of experience of advising entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses and across a wide range of complex taxation matters relating to both personal and corporate tax. Her expertise includes of corporate reconstructions, M&A, EMI and EIS.
Her attention to detail and her ability to explain complex technical matters in a way that people understand, puts clients at ease. She delivers pragmatic commercial advice and ensures that clients’ best interests are preserved at all times.
Emma sits on the global tax committee of DFK International, reinforcing her strong international links on cross border transactions, and she was a finalist in the 2019 for a prestigious Tolley’s Taxation Award.
Emma is a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation and the EISA.

Karen Spencer-Smith

Karen started her career with HMRC over 30 years ago, she has a breadth of experience in all areas of personal tax, advising both UK based individuals and those with an international background, providing proactive advice, to steer clients through complex tax situations.
Offering strategic and practical guidance to non-domiciled clients prior to their arrival in the UK, is a particular area of expertise, as today wealthy individuals and their families continually move between tax jurisdictions.
Karen has built long standing relationships with clients and third parties that span more than 25 years. She is passionate about impeccable client service and prides herself on providing honest and transparent advice.
Prior to joining Wilson Wright, Karen personally founded and built a successful boutique City tax firm and brings to the Partnership a blend of commercial nous and sound tax knowledge, with the ability to put clients at ease.
An avid Francophile, Karen enjoys spending any spare time with her family and friends in France. She is a keen cyclist and has completed various charity bikeathons. When time allows, she volunteers at St Francis Hospice.

Jessica McLellan
Tax Risk & Dispute Resolution Partner
Jessica specialises in Tax Risk and Dispute Resolution, particularly for High Net Worth Individuals, Trusts and OMBs. Prior to joining Wilson Wright, she has worked as a Disputes Resolution specialist and within HMRC Central Policy. She is also a Chartered Accountant and qualified Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) mediator.
Jessica has broad experience across the tax disputes landscape, from proactive tax risk management to complex disclosures, settlement of legacy avoidance schemes and dealing with CoP9 Civil Investigation of Fraud. Her strong understanding of how HMRC works enables clients to obtain certainty and comfort in complex areas, escalation of complex disputes within HMRC and using Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to resolve protracted cases.
Her approach offers an in-depth insight into how to navigate through HMRC’s decision-making process and governance to progress matters for clients. Jessica focuses on achieving clear practical solutions to tax disputes within the context of wider client family or commercial considerations.

Tom joined Wilson Wright after completing his accounting and finance degree. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2011 and became a Partner in 2019.
Tom supports and advises entrepreneurs and business owners across a range of sectors, from property through to technology and energy. He thrives on building close working relationships and ensuring his clients are successful.
Tom’s knowledge of corporation tax, specifically on matters such as R&D tax credits, capital allowances, and group reliefs ensure he is continually adding value to his clients.
He is known for providing timely advice and insightful management information to help his clients to realise their financial ambitions and business goals.

Deon Van Tonder
Partner
Deon joined Wilson Wright in 2015, after spending six years at a top 20 practice in London. He comes from the “rainbow nation” of South Africa.
Deon has a wealth of experience in audit, financial reporting and corporation tax. He works closely with clients in a number of different sectors including retail, investment property, software development and manufacturing.
He has also advised and conducted financial due diligence on a number of client acquisitions.
At home, Deon enjoys the open road with a pair of running shoes or a bike. And when England’s weather gets the better of him, then like any true South African he’ll settle for watching sport.
